Creative Suite Activation and Fast User Switching
When I started to work on Dirty Words Design, I decided to create a second account for it on my computer. Using Fast User Switching, this would make it easy for me to record stuff without being nagged by all my usual programs, or without having to shut them down. Plus, I wouldn’t get confused between actual production files and files that I had decided to use in the videocast.
Here’s what happens if you have a Creative Suite 4 program open, and you try to open another Creative Suite 4 program while logged in as another user on the same computer:

Seriously, Adobe? Now, I’ll admit it: I didn’t read the entire EULA. Big shocker, there. But if I can legitimately run the same software on two different computers, as I know the EULA allows, it seems pretty silly that I can’t run it twice at the same time on the same computer!
If this is behavior that you think should be prevented, I think you are being ridiculous.
If this is a technical flaw in the activation software, please fix it.
(Will be filing a legit bug report later.)
