InDesign Bug Report: Fit Frame to Content
This bug exists on both Intel and PPC Macs, in OS X 10.4 through 10.6.2, in InDesign 6.0.x (Creative Suite 4):
Centered Tables Cause Fit Frame to Content Abnormalities
Concise problem statement: Fit Frame to Content generates incorrect width when frame contains a centered table.
Steps to reproduce bug:
1. Create a text frame.
2. Insert a table.
3. Select the table and center the table within the text frame.
4. Select the text frame and choose Object -> Fitting -> Fit Frame to Content
Results: The text frame resizes to the correct height but is either too wide or not wide enough.
Expected results: The text frame should resize to be the exact width and height of the table, assuming that the text frame does not have an inset and the paragraph style that contains the table does not have indents.
Other Notes: I tested this on an Intel Mac using OS X 10.5.6 and the bug expresses in the same way.
